Trail is a pleasant local trail; whitewater paddling is tremendous on Rio Grande.
Paddling on Rio Santa Cruz is so much fun, and camping is available at Trailer Ranch. If you need a location to stay Sunrise Springs Inn is a great
choice, and Portales Pond is not far at all from Santa Fe. At Portales Pond you don’t see much precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
