Beautiful Portales Pond has much to offer visitors. This lake is so wonderful. Get soaked paddling on Rio Santa Cruz, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Atalaya Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Ski Santa Fe. Lakes are tremendous; Weir Well is a lake that's next to Portales Pond. Portales Pond is mostly a quite dry site; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February.

| | If you're stopping by Portales Pond from Santa Fe, you won't be the only one, and paddling on Rio Grande is so much fun. Sunrise Springs Inn is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and the Capulin Canyon Trail is a perfect hiking trail close by. Camping at Trailer Ranch is always a perfect experience, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Heaquarters Well. the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Portales Pond. A great nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Santa Fe, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Cochiti
Frijoles Trail. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Portales Pond. Camping is available at Santa Fe Skies Recreational Vehicle Park, and popping by Santa Fe National Historic Trail is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
