Porcupine Lake is a nice lake to visit. You could also go to Middle Lake while you're here at Porcupine Lake; it's close by, and if you're dropping by from Grants, you won't be the only one. Summertime highs at Porcupine Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Through the winter the highs are mostly in the 40's; night lows in the 10's for Porcupine Lake. Porcupine Lake is a location that is relatively dried out frequently; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is May.
