Not much rain falls here at Poor House; through the month of September you get the most rain around here, and March is the month with the least moisture. If only every spot had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great earth it would be. This lake is so wonderful. Poor House is not the only site close by, Knee Deep is a close by lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Poor House;       Double Trail is a great local trail. Poor House is one of the lakes here in the Guadalupe Mountains. A nice site to camp here at Poor House is Pine Spring Campground, and perfect hiking is available along the Ussery Trail. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Poor House temperatures are typically in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows                  in the 30's to Poor House. Locklear Canyon is a glorious spot to stop at close by, and Guadalupe Mountains National Park is a tremendous national park. This place, the Guadalupe Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff.
