It's always fun to stop by Ponderosa Reservoir. Los Altos Golf Course is a pleasant golf course close by, and going for a hike on the Embudito Trail is always a glorious adventure. Be careful coming to Ponderosa Reservoir, you might not ever wanna go home again. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Bridgestreet The Enclave is a magnificent choice, and K O A Kampgrounds is a splendid campground nearby. Econo Lodge Albuquerque is a good location

| | to get some rest; obviously, all our national parks are nice places to stop at and Petroglyph National Monument is no exception. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Ponderosa Reservoir. Albuquerque Central KOA is a wonderful local campground, and Juan Tabo Detention Dam has great water scenery. many visitors from Albuquerque. Go for a hike on the Embudo Trail, and do check out Gonzales Reservoir, it's a wonderful lake. Around Ponderosa Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rainfall; all through the month of August you get
the most rain around here, and November is the month with the least moisture. Good hiking is available along the Pino Trail, and while you're here, you might as well stop at Embudito Canyon. At Ponderosa Reservoir during the months
of summer highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's with temperatures at Ponderosa Reservoir dipping down into the 20's all through winter
nights. A day on the slopes of Sandia Peak is just what you need, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Oso Spring.
