Pollywog Pond is typically a pretty waterless place; during August this area sees the most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Pollywog Pond frequently tend to be in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's with temperatures at Pollywog Pond dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights.       Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Whitewater paddling is great on Rio Chama, and close by you come across the Hart Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Chama, and going for a hike on the River Trail is always a wonderful adventure.
