Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. A fine close by hotel is The Abiquiu Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Branding Iron Motel is a perfect location to get some rest; the good folks of Espanola like to hang out close by. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There's so much to do here at Laguna Pinabete Mocho that you       need to camp here for a while, Lower Canjilon Lakes Campground is a brilliant location for that; you can go for a hike on the Palacio Trail. If you came to camp Canjilon Creek Campground is a good site to do that, and don't leave Laguna Pinabete Mocho without first paying a visit to Blas Spring. Laguna Pinabete Mocho is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. It is very dried up here at Laguna Pinabete Mocho ordinarily; most of the rain                  falls during August, and the driest month is April. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Rio Chama, and going for a hike on the Apache Trail is always a tremendous adventure. At Laguna Pinabete Mocho during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's with night lows in the 40's.
