A nice site to camp here at Phones Pond is Buzzard Park Campground, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Jicarilla Inn & Casino is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. A beautiful lake like Skid Camp       Pond in close proximity to Phones Pond is a delightful place to visit. Phones Pond is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. High temperatures at Phones Pond all through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Phones Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
