Some of the water nearby flows, like Canada de Cerro Colorado; Storie Lake is a wonderful lake nearby. It is very dehydrated here at Peterson Reservoir regularly; the wettest month of the year is mostly July, that's the one that rains the most while January is regularly the driest month. This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is Platinum       Hotel & Spa. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Peterson Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Vegas RV and Storage. That right there is a load already, but it carries on; Peterson Reservoir has it all. You can take a little journey to Peterson Dam since you're here at Peterson Reservoir; if you need a spot to stay Plaza Hotel Las Vegas is a good choice. There are plenty of people from Las Vegas here at Peterson Reservoir; float down the rapids                  of Pecos River in a kayak. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. There are other sites here than Peterson Reservoir, for example Bradner Reservoir, and a pleasant spot is Canon del Agua.
