It is very arid here at Peterson Reservoir mostly; July is the wettest month with most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Peterson Reservoir. Camping at Vegas RV and Storage is always a glorious experience, and if you're interested in       hydro structures, you can have a look at Peterson Dam. Yeah, come up here to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains for a nice time. Canon del Agua is a great place to spend some time at, and Plaza Hotel Las Vegas is a good place to get some rest. During the months of summer here at Peterson Reservoir, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's, and the night is a bit cooler of course, usually in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and during the                  dark hours in the wintertime at Peterson Reservoir temperatures dip to the 10's. Lakes are splendid; Bradner Reservoir is a lake that's right next door to Peterson Reservoir; there's some flowing water close by, Canada de Cerro Colorado is a stream you can pop by while here. Be careful coming to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. A splendid place to camp here at Peterson Reservoir is Las Vegas Koa Kampground, and Fort Union National Monument is one of the destinations that are great to stop by nearby. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at New Mexico Highlands University Golf Course is always a pleasure, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from Las Vegas for sure. This lake is so wonderful.
