A good location to camp here at Patterson Pond is Armijo Campground; fine hiking is available along the Leslie Spring Trail. Patterson Pond gets very little rain; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest month is April. Patterson Pond is located in the San Francisco Mountains. If only every location had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what       a great globe it would be. And if that's not enough there's a lot more amusing stuff to do in the San Francisco Mountains. Camping is available at Quemado Lake Campground; hiking is a popular thing to do around Patterson Pond; Continental Divide National Scenic Trail is a magnificent local trail. This lake is so wonderful. Damian Spring is a great local attraction, and there's fine hiking along the Sawmill Camp Trail. At Patterson Pond you can catch a glimpse of                  Wagontongue Mountain; Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument is a nice location nearby. Summertime highs at Patterson Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's.
