     Paiz Pond is a location that is quite dried up commonly; most of the rain falls through August, and June is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Branding Iron Motel is a pleasant choice; there is a good hiking trail close by called the Leche Creek Trail. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. A magnificent spot for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Paiz Pond is Rio Chama, and  
   camping at Twin Rivers Trailer Park is always a great experience.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Not far from Paiz Pond, you'll locate Grouse Pond which is a pretty lake, and Enbom Lake Dam is a beautiful place, unquestionably worth a visit. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Paiz Pond. Camping is available at Blanco River Campground; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Jicarilla Inn & Casino.

For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Paiz Pond highs are frequently in the 80's while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows at Paiz Pond during the winter ordinarily sink into the 0's.
