Paiz Pond is a location that is quite dried up commonly; most of the rain falls through August, and June is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Branding Iron Motel is a pleasant choice; there is a good hiking trail close by called the Leche Creek Trail.
