    Pacheco Lake is a lake worth visiting. Pacheco Lake gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is January. All through the long summer days at Pacheco Lake temperatures are mostly in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Pacheco Lake. So much cool stuff to do in the Sacramento  
   Mountains, not enough time. You're perhaps into lakes, Cherry Lake is one of those nearby, and Pacheco Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Deer Crossing RV Park is a great place to camp nearby.

               This lake is so wonderful. Ruidoso Downs-Days Inn is a perfect place to get some rest, and going for a hike on the Summit Trail is always a glorious adventure. Near Pacheco Lake you find the Capitan Peak Trail which is a good hiking trail, and Baca Campground is a great local campground.
