Laguna Ortiz is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Manzanares Campground is a perfect campground nearby. Summer at Laguna Ortiz comes with high temperatures in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Laguna Ortiz are in the 10's. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express       Hotel & Suites LAS VEGAS is a great choice; this is a popular spot for folks from Las Vegas. Man, is there heaps of entertaining things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Paddling on Pecos River is so much fun; Laguna Ortiz is a tremendous location to visit for more than one day, Cow Creek Campground is a tremendous location to camp nearby.
