A pretty lake like Horseshoe Lake near North Fork Lake is a perfect place to explore, and nice hiking is available along the Divide Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. At North Fork Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are regularly in the 30's with temperatures at       North Fork Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing things the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has to offer. Dry warm beds await you at Taos - Days Inn, and there's pleasant hiking along the Santa Barbara Angostura Trail. If you want a nice time in the great outdoors, just come on down to North Fork Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything North Fork Lake has to offer, you can                  camp at Agua Piedra Campground. At North Fork Lake you don’t see much rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most while February is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
