If you like lakes and you're in this part of New Mexico you can check out Nichols Reservoir. Throughout the summer months, highs generally are in the 90's at Nichols Reservoir. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and night lows all through the winter for Nichols Reservoir tend to be in the 10's. Suites, and Four Mile Reservoir is a glorious lake nearby. Bishop's Lodge is a splendid spot to get some rest, and Aztec Spring is an inspiring site to take a look at while here. There are plenty of folks from Santa Fe here at
Nichols Reservoir; why not camp at Rancheros Campground while you're here at Nichols Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Rio Santa Cruz offers some good whitewater; do take a hike on the Atalaya
Trail. Santa Fe Country Club is a golf course in the vicinity of Nichols Reservoir, and why not head up to Ski Santa Fe and strap some skis to your feet. So many amusing things to do at Nichols Reservoir, so little time. Why not
take a refreshing hike along the Saint Johns Trail, and Bandelier National Monument is a delightful local destination. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Nichols Reservoir; Atalaya Trail is a great local trail, and the scenery at Nichols Dam is picturesque.
