    Muniz Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Muniz Pond is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Going for a hike on the Blanco River Trail is always a perfect adventure, and there are other locations here than Muniz Pond, for example Paiz Pond. Lakes are such serene spots, why not stop at Enbom Lake near Muniz Pond, and Muniz Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Blanco River Campground is a good local campground.
 
   Around Muniz Pond you don’t get a lot of rain; most of the rain falls during August while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Muniz Pond really is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. Branding Iron Motel is a great place to get some rest. There's no way someone can get bored here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Near Muniz Pond you stumble on the Leche Creek Trail which is a nice hiking trail; you can run the rapids of Navajo  
               River.
During the summer at Muniz Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Muniz Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Acres Green RV Park is always a great experience; a perfect nearby hotel is Best Western Jicarilla Inn.
