If time allows, Carlsbad Caverns National Park is a national park worth visiting, and Days Inn is a wonderful site to get some rest. At Municipal Lake all through the summer months highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 50's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Municipal Lake       plunge into the 20's. Municipal Lake is a wonderful spot to camp, Windmill RV Park is a wonderful spot. Dry warm beds await you at Carlsbad-Days Inn. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Municipal Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cavern Estates Mobile Home and RV Park. Municipal Lake is a location that is pretty waterless commonly; September is the wettest month with most rain; March is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful.
