Morgan Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Capulin Volcano National Monument is a very nice spot to go to near Morgan Lake, and lakes are such calm locations, why not explore Baum Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Morgan Lake is pretty dry typically; most of the rain falls throughout July while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Through the warm days of summer highs here at Morgan Lake get into the 80's while night

| | lows are generally in the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Morgan Lake are in the 10's. Morgan Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Mills Canyon Campground is a nice local campground; Morgan Lake is close to Hooper Canyon which is absolutely worth checking out. | |
