New Mexico has many beautiful lakes and Monastery Lake is one of them. Near Monastery Lake you come across the Thompson Peak Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. Lakes? Sure, Granite Point Reservoir is close by. Having a pleasant time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains is painless. Going for a hike on the Atalaya Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and a perfect nearby hotel is Bishop's Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. But wait, there's more amusing

After a long day outdoors Inn On The Alameda is a great location to spend a night or two; if you're dropping by from Santa Fe, you won't be the only one. simple. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Monastery Lake has to offer, you can camp at Field Tract Campground; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ski Santa Fe since you're here. The Sangre De Cristo
Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Monastery Lake, for example Agua Bendita, and close by Alamitos Canyon is a pleasant site to go. Monastery Lake is a location that
is relatively dry typically; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is January.
