Why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Oasis Golf Course, and Mims Lake is not the only spot close by, Cuchillo Community Allotment Reservoir is a close by lake. A pleasant place to camp here at Mims Lake is Lakeside RV Park, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn And Suites is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Whohoo, so much fun       stuff in one place! Mims Lake rocks! A lake close by is Elephant Butte Reservoir, and nearby you find good spots like Coyote Canyon. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Mims Lake while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Mims Lake dip into the 20's. Mims Lake is pretty dried out generally; August is the wettest month                  with most rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month. Do stop at Elephant Butte Dike if you're here at Mims Lake; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Cuchillo Negro Creek. Water Tank Hill is clearly visible from Mims Lake, and a day at Lions Beach is time well spent. Mims Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Enchanted View RV Park is a brilliant local campground; Truth Or Consequences Super 8 Motel is a perfect site to get some rest.
