Summertime highs at Mimbres Lake typically tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's while Mimbres Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. At Mimbres Lake you don’t see much rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and April is the month with the least moisture. If you want a       brilliant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Mimbres Lake. The summit of McKnight Mountain can be made out from Mimbres Lake; if you came for an overnight stay Railroad Campground is a perfect location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Near Mimbres Lake you come across the Rocky Canyon Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and Holiday Inn Express Silver City, Nm is a nice place to get some rest. Going for a hike on the Burnt Mountain Trail is                  always a nice adventure, and there is a brilliant hiking trail nearby called the Old Government Trail. Now, you may assume that's plenty but there's even more fun things to do here in the Black Range. North Seco Spring is a charming place to stop at while you're at Mimbres Lake, and camping is available at Casas Adobes Subdivision.
