Lost Lake Dam in the neighborhood of Middle Fork Lake. Man, is there lots of exciting stuff to do close to Middle Fork Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Red River, and you could always discover Long Canyon. This lake is
so wonderful. This is a popular location for people from Taos, and Bull-of-the-Woods Mountain can be seen from Middle Fork Lake. Middle Fork Lake is pretty arid usually; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest month
is February. Through the summer here at Middle Fork Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's,
and overnight lows in the 0's for Middle Fork Lake. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains will keep you coming back time and again. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Italianos Campground is always a good
experience, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western River's Edge. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop by Horseshoe Lake near Middle Fork Lake, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Taos.
