     There are other sites here than Mescalero Reservoir, for example Longhorn Reservoir, and if you need a location to stay Super 8 Moriarty is a great choice. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Mescalero Reservoir while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Mescalero Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Sandia Peak; the scenery at Mescalero  
   Lake Dam is striking. Why not camp at Zia RV Campground since you're here at Mescalero Reservoir, and lakes are such peaceful sites, why not take a look at Estancia Park Lake.
Mescalero Reservoir is a location that is rather dried up frequently; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is April. Mescalero Reservoir in fact is in the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. Camping is available at Red Arrow Edgewood, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn Moriarty is a magnificent place to spend a night or two.
