Mescalero Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. It is very dried out here at Mescalero Reservoir mostly; the month with most of the rain is July; April meanwhile is the driest month. Why not camp at Zia RV Campground while you're here at Mescalero Reservoir, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn is a good place to spend a night or two. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Mescalero Reservoir while night lows are usually in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in

| | the 40's with temperatures at Mescalero Reservoir dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Mescalero Lake Dam, and you can hit the slopes at Sandia Peak in the vicinity. Camping is available at Red Arrow Edgewood, and a great nearby hotel is Moriarty - Days Inn.
