have a thing about the Sacramento Mountains. Don't leave Mescalero Lake without first going for a hike along the Cedar Creek Trail, unsurprisingly you could also stop by Ruidoso Reservoir since you're here; it's not far at all.
There are splendid places to discover along the Perk Ridge Trail, and you can hit the slopes at Ski Apache in close proximity. The Sacramento Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Mescalero Lake is in the vicinity of Lake Mescalero
Dam which is a lovely site beyond doubt worth visiting, and if you came for an overnight stay Bonito Sundance RV Park and Campground is a perfect location to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Dry Mills Trail, and Rainbow Lake Cabin and RV Resort is a tremendous campground nearby.

Bonito Lake
 | Why are there no definitive maps of fishing lakes in Otero County? I have searched the internet but to no avail. Having just moved here from Texas, I am disappointed in the lack of information....My son went fishing there last year with some friends, and he can't wait to go back.... |
Silver Lake
 | 16 miles away The person in the Office said they had just stocked the lake the night before. When we went fishing that day, we couldn't catch any fish, as a matter of fact there were about 30 other people around the lake, aside from the 8 people in our party fishing at different parts of the lake. Nobody caught anything during the whole time there. Very Disappointed. Bathrooms are really nasty, with graffiti everywhere and trash everywhere. Very poorly kept campground. ... |
