A great nearby hotel is Sleep Inn Las Cruces; there are nice places to look at along the Tom Mays Unit Trail. Going for a hike on the Resler Drive Walk and Bike Trail is always a nice adventure; there are plenty of folks from Las Cruces here at La Mesa Lake. La Mesa Lake gets very little precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and April on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so       wonderful. If you need a place to stay Comfort Suites Las Cruces is a splendid choice; La Mesa Lake is a perfect place to camp, Siesta RV Park is a perfect place. Why not pop by Apodaca Arroyo Dam if you're here, and Vado RV Park is a glorious campground here. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to La Mesa Lake. At La Mesa Lake all through the summer months highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down                  into the 60's.
