Just can't get enough of Mesa Hill Lake. Why not camp at Lavaland RV Park while you're here at Mesa Hill Lake, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to catch a sight of at Acomita Reservoir Dam right next door to Mesa Hill Lake. On a pretty day you get a vista of Mesa Hill from Mesa Hill Lake, and after a long day outdoors Grants Travelodge is a great place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.       All our national parks are wonderful places to stop at, and El Malpais National Monument is no exception, and if you came for an overnight stay Grants / Cibola Sands KOA is a fine place to camp. This lake is located in the wonderful Zuni Mountains. Mesa Hill Lake gets very little rain; all through August this area sees the most rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month. During the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 80's at Mesa Hill Lake; the                  night is rather chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are typically in the 40's, and night lows at Mesa Hill Lake through the wintertime frequently descend into the 10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Zuni Mountains. A brilliant close by hotel is Comfort Inn Grants; while you're here, you might as well check out San Jose Canyon. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Zuni Mountains.
