The beauty of McEwan Lake attracts many people from all around. Be careful coming to the Sacramento Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. This is a magnificent region for folks who like lakes. Bear Canyon Lake is a lake in the neighborhood, and a tremendous spot to camp here at McEwan Lake is Cool Pines RV Park. Allen Canyon is a fine place to go to nearby, and why not camp at Sacramento Mountain Retreat while you're here at McEwan Lake. Lodge at

| | Cloudcroft is a perfect place to get some rest; on a good day you can take a hike along the Osha Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at McEwan Lake you will meet lots of folks from nearby Alamogordo, and a short tour to Allen Spring is always worthwhile. McEwan Lake gets very little precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You just can't picture the amount | |

Lake.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Sacramento Mountains. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to McEwan Lake. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight
lows in the 20's for McEwan Lake. That right there is loads of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Sacramento Mountains has it all.
