The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Mayer Windmill; the overnight is quite colder of course, commonly in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 50's with temperatures at Mayer Windmill dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Camping at Mayer Windmill is glorious fun, Nogal Lake Campground is a glorious local campground, and Bald Hills is beautiful and can be seen from here. There's no       way somebody can get bored here in the Sacramento Mountains. The Bald Hills here at Mayer Windmill makes the scenery here splendid. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Sacramento Mountains, not sufficient time. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Carrizo Peak Trail; Manchester Spring is an inspiring place to pop by while you're here. Just can't get enough of Mayer Windmill. While you're here at Mayer Windmill you can take a hike along the Barber                  Springs Trail, and if you need a location to stay The Lodge at Sierra Blanca is a tremendous choice. Around Mayer Windmill you don’t get a lot of rain; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and April is the month with the least moisture. If the weather is tremendous here at Mayer Windmill, you can go for a hike along the Patos Mountain Trail; why not camp at Sands Motel and RV Park if you're here at Mayer Windmill. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant site to stop by in the vicinity of Mayer Windmill is White Oaks Canyon, and Hawthorn Suites Golf & Convention Resort - Ruidoso is a delightful spot to get some rest.
