New Mexico has many beautiful lakes and Maruche Lake is one of them. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Osha Trail, and at Maruche Lake you always meet someone from Alamogordo. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Sacramento Mountains is peerless!. Around Maruche Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here; April meanwhile is the driest month.

| | site to get some rest; Maruche Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Campground is a brilliant local campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sacramento Mountains. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. It's always pleasant to have a look at Borunda Spring, and if you came to camp Slide Campground is a magnificent site to do that.

is Capulin Canyon, and a great close by hotel is Cloudcroft Hotel. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Sacramento Mountains. From Maruche Lake you get a great view of Calico Peak, and do pay a visit to White Sands National Monument since you're here at Maruche Lake.
