Many people like to go to Maruche Lake. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area near Maruche Lake has to offer. Maruche Lake is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Scenic Canyon RV Park is a splendid local campground; Fireman Lake is a glorious lake close by. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more cool things to do here in the Sacramento Mountains. A tour to White Sands National Monument is recommended,

| | and lakes are such calm locations, why not visit Goat Windmill. At Maruche Lake throughout the summertime months highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 50's, and night lows in the 20's for Maruche Lake. and camping at Slide Campground is always a glorious experience. After a long day outdoors Lodge at Cloudcroft is a great spot to spend a night or two; Capulin Canyon is a good place to go to. And if that's not sufficient there's
lots more cool stuff to do in the Sacramento Mountains. The peak of Calico Peak can be observed from Maruche Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Maruche Lake; Osha Trail is a pleasant local trail. Don't leave Maruche
Lake without first paying a visit to Borunda Spring, and this is a popular location for people from Alamogordo. Maruche Lake gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is typically August, that's the one that rains the most, and April meanwhile is the driest month.

When we went fishing that day, we couldn't catch any fish, as a matter of fact there were about 30 other people around the lake, aside from the 8 people in our party fishing at different parts of the lake.
