The Lodge at Sierra Blanca is a wonderful site to get some rest, and Lutz Lake is right by the Summit Trail. Lutz Lake gets very little precipitation; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and April on the other hand is the driest. If you came to camp Mountain High RV Park is a good location to do that; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Base Trail.       This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Baca Campground is always a good experience, and hiking along the Padilla Trail is good fun. Through the summer months at Lutz Lake highs are typically in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's.
