    It's always fun to stop by Luna Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dulce Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. There's so much to do here at Luna Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Buzzard Park Campground is a nice spot for that. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, not sufficient time. A lake nearby is Atole Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Jicarilla Inn. If you need a site to stay Oak Ridge Lodge  
   is a great choice, and soar down the rapids of Navajo River in a kayak.
At Luna Lake you don’t see much precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is June. Luna Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Acres Green RV Park is a wonderful local campground. During the long summer days highs here at Luna Lake get into the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the
 
               wintertime come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Luna Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights.
This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
