If you are in Otero county it's always a good idea to stop by Lost Pond. Lost Pond is usually a rather dried out place; August is the month that gets the most rain, and March is when it's the driest. Guadalupe Mountains National Park is one of the destinations close to Lost Pond that are brilliant to go to. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Lost Pond. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Lost Pond.
