    Lost Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Take a little journey to Allen Creek if you're here at Lost Lake, and going for a hike on the Lost Lake Trail is always a glorious adventure. The skiing at Red River is perfect, and why not camp at Mallette Campground while you're here at Lost Lake. Lost Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
Through the warm months at Lost Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's,
 
   and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. All through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Lost Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Cherokee Canyon is a tremendous spot to look at, and camping is available at McCrystal Creek Campground. Lost Lake is a location that is pretty dehydrated commonly; throughout August this area sees the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of  
               precipitation.
So much entertaining stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, just mind-blowing. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Eagle Nest is a magnificent site to spend a night or two; close by you find the Bernal Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. So many fun things in the vicinity of Lost Lake, clearly extraordinary. Best Western River's Edge is a nice place to get some rest, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Ski Rio.
Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If you get bored of Lost Lake, you could also go to nearby Twin Lakes, and Costilla Reservoir Dam is not far at all from Lost Lake.
