This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn & Suites Gallup is a brilliant location to spend a night or two, and Lost Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Red Rock State Park is a great site to camp nearby. Be careful coming to Lost Lake, you might not ever want to go home again. Quaking Aspen Campground is a good campground nearby. And that's not all the things you can       do here in the Zuni Mountains. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake McFerren is right next door to Lost Lake, and you're sure to stumble upon some wonderful folks from Gallup here. Summertime highs at Lost Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's with temperatures at Lost Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. This lake is one of the great places here in the Zuni Mountains.                  Don't leave Lost Lake without first paying a visit to Little Bear Spring, and if you're looking for a great visit, El Morro National Monument is relatively near. Lost Lake is mostly a pretty arid place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; June meanwhile is the driest month. This is a great vicinity for people who like lakes.
