The beauty of Lost Lake is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Twining Campground is always a great experience; you'll meet a lot of folks from Taos here. A delightful spot to camp here at Lost Lake is Italianos Campground, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Number 3 Lift Trail. Any time is a good time at Lost Lake if you fancy the outdoors. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Red River, and

great whitewater, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Twining Blue Lake Trail. The snow is good at Taos; Lost Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Lost Lake. If you get bored of Lost Lake, you could also visit close by Horseshoe Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. At
Lost Lake you can make out Fraser Mountain, and going for a hike along the Lost Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. During the long summer days at Lost Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and
during the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lost Lake are in the 0's. At Lost Lake you don’t see much rainfall; most of the rain falls all through August; the driest month is February.
