A pleasant location close to Lopez Lake is Cat Draw; a great location for whitewater paddling is Piedra River. Keyah Grande Resort is a good place to get some rest. So many cool things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, not enough time. A lake nearby is Laguna Seca, and Lopez Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Pinon Park Campground and RV Resort is a magnificent local campground. Summertime       highs at Lopez Lake usually tend to be in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Lopez Lake temperatures drop to the 0's. Lopez Lake gets very little precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; June is when it's the driest. Lopez Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
