Long Lake is a lake worth visiting. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Long Lake. Stay the night at Grants / Cibola Sands KOA; if you need a site to stay Grants Super 8 Motel is a good choice. Around Long Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is April.

For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's while Long Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's.
