Camping is available at River Grove RV Park, and you can run the rapids of Animas River. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you're a golfer then a good close by course is Riverview Golf Course. Around Locke Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; during the month of August you get the most rain around here; June meanwhile is the driest month. Here at Locke Lake you'll perhaps meet some folks from Farmington,       and if you need a place to stay The Region Inn is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Brentwood Inn, and the peak of Twin Mounds can be made out from Locke Lake. Why not camp at Mom and Pop RV Park if you're here at Locke Lake, and there's whitewater on San Juan River for all you thrill seekers. Through the summer months, highs usually are in the 90's at Locke Lake. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's.
