This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Little Windmill that you need to camp here for a while, Sands Motel and RV Park is a glorious place for that; after a long day outdoors The Lodge at Sierra Blanca is a perfect location to spend a night or two. A great site near Little Windmill is Lemon Draw, and pleasant hiking is available along the Oakridge Trail. This place, Little Windmill, it clearly has so much       outdoors cool stuff. Carrizozo Country Club is a brilliant golf course close by. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Saunders Ridge Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Hawthorn Suites Golf & Convention Resort - Ruidoso. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Little Windmill; Pennsylvania Trail is a brilliant local trail, and Little Windmill is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Nogal Lake Campground is a nice local campground. Little Windmill                  is usually a quite arid place; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is April. High temperatures at Little Windmill throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's.
