Beautiful Lightning Lake has much to offer visitors. And if that's not enough there's a heap more fun things to do in the Sacramento Mountains. Timberon Golf Course is a golf course in close proximity to Lightning Lake. A wonderful lake like Sacramento Lake in the vicinity of Lightning Lake is a great spot to check out, and a journey to Lightning Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Hubbell Spring. Around Lightning Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation;

Just can't get enough of the Sacramento Mountains. Near Lightning Lake you stumble on the Osha Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and Lodge at Cloudcroft is a nice site to get some rest. frequently in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lightning Lake sink into the 20's. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Lightning Lake. Visiting White Sands National Monument is
just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and Slide Campground is a magnificent campground nearby.
Lightning Lake is a glorious location to visit for more than one day, Aspen Campground is a glorious location to camp nearby,
and after a long day outdoors Cloudcroft Hotel is a perfect site to spend a night or two. Lightning Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sacramento Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. At Lightning Lake you always meet someone from Alamogordo, and Harris Canyon is also a wonderful site to look at.
