If you are in this part of New Mexico make sure to pay a visit to Leyendecker Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. If time allows, Petroglyph National Monument is a national park worth a visit, and do stop at Vol Andia Reservoir, it's a beautiful lake. Best Value Inn-Albuquerque East is a tremendous location to get some rest; hiking is a popular thing to do around Leyendecker Reservoir; Embudito Trail is a fine local trail. Leyendecker Reservoir is a location that is reasonably
dried up regularly; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while November is ordinarily the driest month. The warmest time of the year at Leyendecker Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 90's. Summer
overnight lows drop down to the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Leyendecker Reservoir. Leyendecker Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Best Western Inn is a great local campground; a short visit to Oso Spring is always worthwhile.
