The Sangre De Cristo Mountains scenery is always beautiful. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. After a long day outdoors St James Hotel is a great spot to spend a night or two; if you came to camp Cimarron Inn and RV Park is a nice place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Johnson's Cabins On the River, and Lewis Lake       is good enough to spend more than a day at, Cathedral Rock Campground is a good local campground. Lewis Reservoir Dam is a site that is near Lewis Lake, naturally you could also check out French Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Throughout the months of summer, highs generally are in the 70's at Lewis Lake. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Lewis Lake dipping down into the-10's                  through winter nights.
