Lewis Reservoir Dam has delightful water scenery and it's close to Lewis Lake, and a great location to camp here at Lewis Lake is Cimarron Inn and RV Park. Lewis Lake is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Throughout the long summer days at Lewis Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's, and the overnight is slightly colder       of course, generally in the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's; night lows during the winter for Lewis Lake tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Hagerdon Lake, and the slopes of Angel Fire are so inviting noone can resist. Lewis Lake is pretty dried out ordinarily; the wettest month of the year is usually August, that's the one that rains the                  most; the driest month of the year is January.
