During the warm days of summer, highs generally are in the 90's at Lavade Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 50's with temperatures at Lavade Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Lavade Lake is pretty waterless usually; August is the wettest month with most rain, and April is the month with the least moisture. Why       not take a refreshing hike along the Sand Wash Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lavade Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day, Nogal Lake Campground is a good place to camp nearby, and hiking along the Barber Springs Trail is brilliant fun. So many entertaining things in the Sacramento Mountains, just phenomenal. Mountain High RV Park is a great campground nearby, and if you need a place to stay Swiss Chalet Inn is a magnificent choice. Lavade                  Lake is right by the Patos Mountain Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Patos Lake.
