    Go to The Lakes if you want to go to a nice lake. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Black Range. Have a great hiking adventure along the Old Government Trail; Marshall Spring is a tremendous local attraction. And that's not all you can do here at The Lakes. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn And Suites is a brilliant location to spend a night or two. Cherry Creek is a lovely stream that is worth checking out. You'll need  
   more than a day to look at everything The Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Wrights Cabin Campground.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Black Range. Lake Mountain is scenic and can be seen from The Lakes. There's so much to do here at The Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Emory Pass Vista Campground is a nice place for that. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Burnt Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural
 
               beauty of this area; Falls Gulch is another delightful place to stop at close by.
During the summer months here at The Lakes, high temperatures generally reach the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at The Lakes dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. At The Lakes you don’t see much rain; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most; April is when it's the driest.
