    If you are in this part of New Mexico make sure to pay a visit to The Lakes. At The Lakes you can spot Lake Mountain, and you can go for a hike on the Old Government Trail. Not far from The Lakes, you'll find Mud Lake which is a delightful lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything The Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Emory Pass Vista Campground. So many entertaining things to do here in the Black Range, too tremendous to be true. Dry warm beds await  
   you at Comfort Inn And Suites, and tremendous hiking is available along the Burnt Mountain Trail.
The Lakes is commonly a relatively dry spot; most of the rain falls all through August while April is generally the driest month. The Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Black Range. All year is a tremendous time in the Black Range if you go for the outdoors. A great place to pop by close to The Lakes is Falls Gulch.

               even more cool stuff to do here at The Lakes. Lakes? Sure, Mimbres Lake is around here; why not take a little trip to Cherry Creek if you're here. All through the warmest time of the year here at The Lakes, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's. Through the winter highs are typically in the 40's, and nighttime lows at The Lakes during the winter mostly drop into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Wrights Cabin Campground; a visit to Marshall Spring will fill your soul with great feelings.
