Sure, Lake Avalon is in the vicinity, and a delightful place to camp here at Lake McMillan is 7 Rivers Cove RV Resort. Lake McMillan is frequently a reasonably dehydrated site; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is March. For the duration of the summertime at Lake McMillan temperatures are usually in the 90's, and during summer nights       temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Lake McMillan are in the 20's. A good close by hotel is Comfort Inn Carlsbad, and not far from Lake McMillan you'll stumble on Kaiser Lake which is a scenic lake. This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular place for people from Carlsbad-Artesia; Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CARLSBAD is a nice place to get some rest. Be careful                  coming to Lake McMillan, you might not ever want to go home again. Camping is available at Artesia RV Park.
