    Lake McFerren is a lake worth visiting. Lake McFerren is a location that is reasonably dried up generally; August is the wettest month with most rain, and June meanwhile is the driest month. A journey to El Morro National Monument is recommended, and dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn & Suites Gallup. The Zuni Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
At Lake McFerren during the months of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down
 
   to the 50's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 40's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Lake McFerren tend to be in the 10's. Lost Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to; Lake McFerren is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Quaking Aspen Campground is a nice local campground. So many fun things to do in the Zuni Mountains, not enough time. A lake nearby is Little Bear Reservoir, and camping at Red Rock State Park is always a fine  
               experience.
Lake McFerren beyond doubt is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Lake McFerren there are plenty of folks from Gallup; if you need a site to stay Best Western Red Rock Inn is a good choice.
