If you are in this part of New Mexico make sure to pay a visit to Lake Katherine. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake Johnson is next to Lake Katherine. There's so much to do here at Lake Katherine that you need to camp here for a while, Big Tesuque Campground is a fine site for that. Ski Santa Fe is a glorious local ski area. Lake Katherine gets very little rain; August is when you get the most rain here; February meanwhile is the driest month.

| | The Rio Capulin Trail is a wonderful hiking trail next to Lake Katherine, and you get a great panorama of Redonda peak from here. Rio Santa Cruz is a magnificent whitewater spot near Lake Katherine; there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Winsor Trail. For the duration of the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 90's at Lake Katherine. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. in the 40's with temperatures at Lake Katherine dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Sipapu Ski are so inviting nobody can resist, and after a long day outdoors Bishop's Lodge
is a great spot to spend a night or two. Lake Katherine is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Lake Katherine truly is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. If you're stopping by Lake Katherine from Santa Fe,
you won't be the only one, and Santa Fe National Historic Trail is a very perfect location to stop at.
So many cool things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, not enough time. Going for a hike on the Agua Sarca Trail is always
a good adventure, and dry warm beds await you at Serets 1001 Nights. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Nearby Puerto Nambe is a nice place to go if you're at Lake Katherine, and if you came to camp Panchuela Campground is a brilliant spot to do that.
