Lake Isabel is pretty waterless ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is July while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Lake Isabel is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. You assume that's enough? Just getting warmed up. A splendid nearby hotel is Best Western Montezuma Inn & Suites. Why not camp at Vegas RV and Storage if you're here at Lake Isabel, and Fort Union National       Monument is a great national park. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Las Vegas Super 8 Motel is a nice choice, and this is a popular place for people from Las Vegas. Summertime highs at Lake Isabel regularly tend to be in the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Lake Isabel. That right there is lots of fun stuff already but                  it goes on, the Sangre De Cristo Mountains has it all. A great place to camp here at Lake Isabel is Dukes RV Park; on a good day you can take a hike along the Santa Fe Trail.
