Lake Avalon

 
 This lake is a agriculture watershead and is drained down on a regular basis during the growing season. Even when it is full, it is no more than 4-5 feet deep at any given point in the lake. No decent fishing can be found here. Says Doug P.

This lake is so wonderful. Carlsbad Caverns National Park is a great national park, and while you're here you can play some golf at Riverside Country Club. Do pop by Avalon Dam if you're here at Lake Avalon; a glorious
    zoo close to Lake Avalon is Living Desert Zoo & Garden Park; they have lots of lovely animals. The overriding feature in the vicinity is the Avalon Hills, and dry warm beds await you at Executive Suites and Hotel.
