Do stop by Lake Alice while you're in this part of New Mexico. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Raton RV Park is a delightful local campground; after a long day outdoors Budget Host Raton is a splendid place to spend a night or two. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Lake Alice reach the 80's, and the nighttime is a little colder of course, typically in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime

| | come with highs in the 40's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Lake Alice temperatures sink to the 10's.
Be careful coming to the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. Nearby Sugarite Canyon is a tremendous spot to go if you're at Lake Alice, and if you're here you can play some golf at Raton City Municipal Golf Course. So many exciting things in close proximity to Lake Alice, clearly inspiring. If you need a site to stay Raton Super 8 Motel is a good choice. Around Lake Alice you don’t get a lot of precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest.
