Get yourself into a kayak and hit Navajo River; there are other sites here than La Jara Lake, for example Luna Lake. Around La Jara Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and June is the month with the least moisture. Having a magnificent time at La Jara Lake is painless. Man, is there a lot of enjoyable things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. A tremendous       close by hotel is Econo Lodge Pagosa Springs; not far from La Jara Lake you'll discover Cement Lake which is a charming lake. If you need a site to stay Best Western Jicarilla Inn & Casino is a splendid choice, and Buzzard Park Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. La Jara Lake Dam is a beautiful spot in close proximity to La Jara Lake; nearby you locate Telephone Canyon which                  is a nice spot to have a look at.
